TAMIYA, a world-famous manufacturer of plastic models and RC cars, has a symbolic emblem that is recognized by many people other than model fans.

The company’s logo, called “Twin Star,” is a striking design that has been loved by model fans for a long time, but in recent years it has been expanding beyond the model industry to include apparel and other fields.

The red star on the left side of the Tamiya logo represents “passion” and the blue star on the right side represents “precision,” creating a simple yet memorable design.

In recent years, however, Tamiya’s logo design has been reevaluated, and collaborative items with apparel brands that had nothing to do with plastic models have also appeared.

For example, the “TAMIYA×JUN WATANABE” collaboration with creative designer JUN WATANABE, Arthur Kar’s apparel line “KAR / L’Art De L’Automobile “SupremexTAMIYA Hornet” was created in collaboration with SUPREME. Through collaborations with all kinds of brands, the brand has evolved not only as a plastic model brand but also as a brand that can collaborate with various fields such as apparel. We are evolving into a brand that is capable of joint development in various fields such as apparel.

It will be interesting to see how the TAMIYA brand will evolve in the 2020s, and whether it will be able to gain even greater recognition in fields other than plastic models and RC. Source: STARHOBBY
